We did a fair amount of research before we started to build our home Tiki bar. The heyday for Tiki was the 50s and 60s. We decided we wanted to "go retro" with as many things as we could and the SparkleLam fit the bill perfectly for our bar top. We even used the "leftovers" for a couple of items not planned for originally, and they came out great! We've done cabinet work for many years and found this material to be absolutely professional-grade as it worked like any other top-notch laminate.

As a mid-century furniture dealer, we have a lot of clients who specifically bought their homes because of the original mid-century bones and architecture. Many of them are just as geeked as we are about little details like original hardware, kitchens, and bathrooms. With that said, many also need and want to go back to the original look of their home which may have changed over the years by people wanting to “update” the house. I acquired a 1964 Field & Stream camper trailer for a retirement project. In wanting to keep it original I looked for the white with gold inclusion laminate that was already on the counter and cabinet slides but had all yellowed badly. I looked everywhere and was not able to find anything similar. Then I happened upon Make it Mid-Century and they had exactly what I needed. Susan was great to work with and so was the SparkleLam.
